Robert E. Ray graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1967, with majors in Economics and Mathematics. He graduated with his Juris Doctorate Degree, in 1970, from the University of Colorado.
Upon graduation, he was admitted to the Colorado Bar, at which time he joined the Weld County District Attorney’s Office, where he served as Assistant District Attorney for four years. In the Summer of 1974, Robert left the District Attorney’s Office to form his current law office.
For almost 35 years, Robert E. Ray has loyally served the citizens of Northern Colorado, as a private defense lawyer, in a wide area of practices including, Criminal Law, Domestic Relations and Civil Litigation. Mr. Ray is a zealous and aggressive trial lawyer, with vast experience in jury and bench trials in all types of serious matters. He also has well-developed skills in motions practice and pre-trial and settlement negotiations, because every case must be handled individually with the client’s best interests in mind.
Mr. Ray is highly visible and well-known in the community for his vigorous advocacy and unbending determination in serving the best interests of his clients. In the area of Criminal Law, he has defended every type of criminal case, ranging from Murder, Sexual Assault and other serious felonies, to DUI, domestic violence, miscellaneous misdemeanor and/or traffic cases. He has extensive experience in domestic relations and all areas of civil litigation.
