Ghassemi, Bethany J.

Bethany Ghassemi works with health care providers to structure tax-exempt financings, joint venture arrangements, and mergers and acquisitions.

She has served as bond counsel and underwriter's counsel for tax-exempt and taxable financings for hospitals, multistate health systems, and continuing care retirement communities throughout the United States. In her role as bond counsel, she has helped nonprofit corporations and government issuers of tax-exempt bonds respond to IRS audits. In addition, she advises health care providers with respect to corporate governance matters, regulatory compliance, and securities law issues.

Bethany also advises clients outside the health care sector in the areas of executive benefits and compensation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, venture capital, private equity, and corporate finance, including credit agreements and other debt financings.
