J. A native Houstonian, J. Gordon Dees, began the practice of law in 1977 as an Assistant District Attorney serving under District Attorney Carol Vance. In 1981, he was promoted to the position of Chief Felony Prosecutor and during his tenure with Harris County, tried over 100 criminal cases. In 1983, J. Gordon Dees left the District Attorney’s Office to join the civil law firm of Dickerson, Hamel, Early & Pennock where he expanded his trial experience to include civil litigation and administrative hearings. In 1987, J. Gordon Dees returned to the practice of criminal law and since that time has maintained an active trial practice in State and Federal courts.
Licenses: Admitted to the Texas Bar in 1977; Admitted -U.S. District Court for the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; and U.S. Supreme Court.
