Garskof, Deborah M.

Jim has managed cases in numerous state and federal jurisdictions for more than 20 years.  He practices primarily in the areas of premise liability, automobile liability, construction law, and railroad grade crossing litigation.  He has successfully first chaired several civil jury trials.  He is an arbitrator for the Mandatory Arbitration Program for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Illinois.  He has taught as an adjunct instructor of business law and has served on several occasions as a continuing legal education instructor in anatomy and physiology for attorneys, discovery methods, and methods and techniques of internet investigations.  Jim has served as a judge in the National Health Law Moot Court Competition.  Jim’s court room reputation is presenting his position on any legal or factual issue in clear, logical and sensible terms.  Jim is never other than meticulously prepared. 

Outside of his legal practice Jim has served as an elected member of a board of education in an excellent public school district.   He served as the leader of a Law Explorer Post carrying forward his commitment to scouting as an Eagle Scout. Jim enjoys cooking, ceramics, travel, wilderness adventure and spending time with his family.
