Andrew Dean is an associate in the White Collar Defense, Investigations & Corporate Compliance Group and the Litigation Department in the firm's New York Office. He joined Wiggin and Dana in 2007.
Following law school, Andrew clerked for the Honorable Leonard B. Sand in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York. He then worked at a major New York law firm, where he worked on internal investigations and cases involving white collar defense, bankruptcy, antitrust, and securities fraud. His pro bono cases have included criminal defense, death penalty, and political asylum cases. From 2006 to 2007, Andrew taught undergraduate classes at Fordham University on civil liberties, civil rights, and the death penalty.
He received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Fordham University. He received his J.D. from Columbia University Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a member of the Law Review. His law review note was entitled "An Offer the Teamsters Couldn't Refuse: The 1989 Consent Decree Establishing Federal Oversight and Ending Mechanisms," 100 Colum. L. Rev. 2157 (2000).
