Jayne De Young joined Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP as an associate in 2006. Ms. De Young specializes in commercial real estate transactions. She has also advised and assisted companies with diverse matters, including contract analysis and evaluation, the protection of trade secrets, trademark registration, and domain name disputes.
Ms. De Young co-authored an Am-Jur Proof of Facts topic for Westlaw on proving increased compensatory damages in cases involving injuries to animals, which was published in 2006. She earned her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2005. During law school, she was Articles Editor of the Hastings Women's Law Journal and worked for various nonprofit legal organizations. In 2004, she served as a full-time extern for Justice Maria Rivera of the California Court of Appeal.
Ms. De Young earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Grand Valley State University in Michigan and her Master of Business Administration degree from European University in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to law school, she worked as a research analyst and as a consultant.
Ms. De Young is a member of the State Bar of California and is an avid tennis player and kayaker.
