Ms. Gaines joined Smith Hood Bigman in 2000. She graduated cum laude from the Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was the yearbook editor and recipient of the Centennial Scholarship, James C. Bolton Memorial Scholarship, LSUA Merit Honor Award Scholarship and Colonel W.R. Middleton Memorial Honor Award. In 1999 Ms. Gaines graduated, with honors, from the University of Florida College of Law where she was a member and secretary of the honor society, Phi Delta Phi.
At the University of Florida, Ms. Gaines was awarded Book Awards in Civil Clinic and Gender and the Law. During law school, she served as Honor Advisor.
Ms. Gaines is an associate in the litigation practice group at Smith Hood Bigman. Her practice includes commercial litigation, corporate and business law.
Ms. Gaines is actively involved in the community. She is the current Chairperson of the board of Direct of Easter Seal Society of Volusia nad Flagler Counties and former Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of Volusia and Flagler Counties, an organization that is now part of Easter Seals. Ms. Gaines has been actively involved with the Horses and the Handicapped program in both Central Louisiana and Palm Beach County, Florida.
Ms. Gaines is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Florida.
