Sam Praw graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in Political Science in 1976 after serving two years in the United States Army. He is a combat veteran having served in Vietnam with the 25th Infantry Division as an infantry squad leader.
He was awarded a “Combat Infantry Badge”, a “Bronze Star “ an “Army Air Medal” and an Army Commendation Medal.
After graduating from CSUN, he obtained his JD degree from Mid-Valley College of Law.
He was in private practice from 1982 through 1991 doing primarily Family Law, Personal Injury and Landlord Tenant Disputes.
Sam has done both applicant and defense work, originally getting into the field of Workers Compensation as a Staff Atty for State Compensation Insurance Fund.
He has been with the firm of Hinden and Braslavsky for approximately 19 months.
Sam has been married to the same wonderful woman since Aug 26,1969 and has two adult children as well as two grandchildren 11 and 6 which are not only his pride and joy but also the loves of his life.
Sam enjoys getting into a good long novel as well as photography and travel.
Although he left the city in 1968, he still calls Detroit home.
