Bob Gaffey has represented clients at the trial and appellate level in federal and New York state courts, and before arbitration tribunals, in cases involving a range of subject areas, including banking, commercial fraud, securities, foreign exchange, product liability, shareholder and partnership disputes, and other commercial matters. A number of Bob's representations have involved clients, litigation, or discovery outside the United States. In those cases, Bob has developed extensive experience in dealing with discovery under the Hague Convention, foreign secrecy laws and blocking statues, other techniques for fact development outside the United State for use in U.S. litigation, and advising foreign clients regarding the business and legal implications of involvement in the United States. Bob also has represented clients in civil investigations conducted by government regulatory agencies. Bob taught legal writing and advocacy as an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School and has also served as an instructor at Hofstra Law School's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.
