David Powers is an associate in the Securities Department, and a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2010.
Past Experience
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Powers served as special assistant to former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. In that role, he managed the logistical execution of gubernatorial events and spoke to civic and community groups in North Florida on behalf of the Governor.
In addition, Mr. Powers served on the staff of the 55th Presidential Inaugural Committee in 2004, and has been involved in several campaigns. Most recently, he consulted on political and legal issues for Luther Strange, the Attorney General of Alabama. Mr. Powers has also consulted on education policy issues for Governor Bush's Foundation for Excellence in Education.
