Yenyun Fu is a patent agent in the Menlo Park office and a member of the Patent Prosecution Group. Her practice currently focuses on preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications in a broad range of technologies in the software, Internet, wireless networks, semiconductor devices, and consumer electronics. Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Yenyun has drafted patent applications, performed patent evaluation/analysis, and prepared responses to office actions in the technology areas of semiconductor devices, optoelectronics, optical systems, Internet-related software applications, e-commerce systems, DSP, analog/digital systems, nanotechnology, telecommunications, VLSI circuits, and medical devices.
Prior to her current pursuit of her second Masters of Science Degree in BioMechanical Engineering at Stanford University, through collaboration with the Department of Otolaryngology of the School of Medicine, Yenyun specialized in signal processing research related to electrical stimulation of auditory nerve fibers for cochlear implant development as a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford. Additionally, she also has research experience in developing novel material (III-V semiconductors) and novel structure electronics devices for high-speed and high-power applications as a graduate research associate at the University of California, Santa Barbara as well as developing MEMS-based nano-scale biological manipulators in the SonicsMEMS laboratory at Cornell University.
