Scott Frodyma's practice includes a wide range of federal income tax matters. His experience covers a variety of transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, restructurings, and financings, for both public and private companies. Scott regularly advises clients with planning, negotiation, and documentation of complex business transactions. He also has experience representing corporate clients in pursuing private rulings and protests before the Internal Revenue Service and Appeals.
Most recently, Scott, along with Dennis Drapkin (tax Partner in Dallas), advised J.C. Penney on tax matters in connection with its sale of the Eckerd drugstore business for $4.5 billion in the third quarter of 2004. He and Dennis also represented Albertsons during its acquisition of both Bristol Farms in the third quarter of 2004 and Shaw's and Star Markets for $2.48 billion from J. Sainsbury Plc in the second quarter of 2004.
