Thomas H. Porter joined the Law Offices of Jeffrey A. Feldman in January 2009. As an attorney, Mr. Porter began representing clients in securities related litigation in 1996. Over time, Mr. Porter's practice has become almost entirely dedicated to the representation of public investors in civil cases and arbitrations against registered representatives, broker dealers and investment advisors. Mr. Porter has successfully represented numerous clients throughout the state of California, and throughout the nation, in all aspects of mediation, arbitration, and civil litigation. Mr. Porter also belongs to the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), an organization dedicated to representing the rights and interests of consumer investors.
Prior to joining Mr. Feldman in San Francisco, Mr. Porter also had substantial experience in the administrative and criminal defense of licensed health care professionals.
Mr. Porter attended law school at the University of San Francisco and graduated in 1995. He was also admitted to practice law in California in 1995. While in law school, Mr. Porter was an intern with the San Francisco District Attorneys office, in both the juvenile and adult divisions. He also enjoyed teaching Street Law to local high school students in San Francisco and working as the Editor of Publications for the USF Maritime Law Journal.
Prior to law school, Mr. Porter graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English and a minor in French.
Mr. Porter enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, surfing, playing his guitar, playing basketball, golfing, volunteering with local youth groups, and just about anything that gets him outdoors.
