Lee was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1947 and has been a partner with the firm since 1975. Following high school graduation, Lee attended the University of Georgia on a football scholarship and was a member of two SEC Championship Teams. During his senior year, he was named a Defensive team captain. Lee received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969, and thereafter attended the University of Georgia School of Law where he received a Juris Doctorate degree in 1973.
Lee has engaged in the general practice of law in Dalton and the surrounding area with emphasis on Real Estate litigation, commercial and residential real estate transactions, wills and estate planning, banking law and local government law. Lee presently serves as the Tunnel Hill City attorney and served as the Whitfield County Attorney from 1993 until 2001 and has been appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia as special master for the Georgia Bar association disciplinary board. He is licensed to practice in all Courts of the State of Georgia, the Federal District Courts of Georgia and the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
Lee is active in the local community. He has served as Director, Chairman of Wachovia Bank, NA; Director and Executive Committee member of the Dalton College Foundation; President of the Board of trustees of Leadership Dalton-Whitfield; Chairman of the Dalton/Whitfield County chamber of commerce; Director of the Whitfield Healthcare Foundation, Inc.; Director of the Dalton Educational Foundation, Inc.; President of the University of Georgia Alumni Association; Director of the University of Georgia Athletic Association; member of the Gridiron Secret Society; member of the University of Georgia President’s club and is a member of the University of Georgia Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
