Elizabeth Porter graduated from Presbyterian Christian High School in Hattiesburg, earned her Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning with a minor in Child & Family studies from the University of Southern Mississippi, and completed her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2006 from Mississippi College School of Law. While in law school, Mrs. Todd was an officer of both the Law Student Bar Association and Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity with whom she organized and implemented The Ambulance Chase, a yearly philanthropic project with the University of Mississippi Medical Center students.
After serving as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifteenth Circuit Court District which includes Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion and Pearl River Counties, Elizabeth opened her own law practice where she specializes in family law, criminal defense, and wills and estates. Mrs. Todd is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Hattiesburg Area Young Lawyer's Association, and the Mississippi Women Lawyer's Association.
Elizabeth was recognized in 2009 by the Southwest Mississippi Children's Advocacy Center for her outstanding work with children and families of abuse and trauma and recently authored a chapter in the Mississippi Bar Association's Guide to Women's Legal Rights in Mississippi.
