Anna Freeman Frase, a fifth generation Texan, received her Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Dallas in 2007. After graduation, she relocated to Houston, Texas to achieve her dream of becoming an attorney. She earned her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2008, where she received the prestigious Fred Parks academic scholarship and graduated in the top third of her class.
During her time at South Texas, she was accepted into the honors fraternity Phi Delta Phi, recognized multiple times as a Dean's List Scholar, and received the American Jurisprudence Award for her top score in her Administration of Estates course. She also tutored other students as an academic assistance aide and instructed students to efficiently navigate the Westlaw legal research database.
As a law student, Anna clerked for the Honorable Fred Edwards in the 9th District Court, Montgomery County, Texas and interned at the Law Office of Matthew J. Mussalli, P.C. Anna Trained under Houston attorney John K. Grubb at John K. Grubb & Associates, P.C. before passing the bar exam and joining Vernier & Associates PLLC as an associate.
