David first began working with Larry Sokol in 2001. Since joining Larry Sokol, David has worked on many medical malpractice, as well as other personal injury, claims. In addition to assisting Larry on his cases, David has litigated many claims, including medical malpractice claims. David enjoys trying cases to a jury, and continues to try cases to verdict.
In addition to trial work, David has briefed the Oregon Court of Appeals, the Oregon Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice law in Oregon, Washington, and before the District of Oregon and the Ninth Circuit.
David took an unorthodox path on his way to becoming an attorney. He has lived variously in Europe, Australia, South America, and the Rockies. He has spent time doing relief work in impoverished parts of the world. Among other occupations, prior to becoming an attorney David has worked as a carpenter, snow maker, landscaper, and English tutor.
David received a degree in International Studies with a minor in Spanish from the University of Oregon. He is also a graduate of Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College.
When not practicing law, David can be found skiing, hiking and backpacking, biking, fishing, gardening and just about anything else that involves being in the outdoors. Most of these activities he does with his wife, Wendy, his two boys Henry and Charlie, and his dog, Anna.
