Mr. Pindulic is a partner in the Litigation Department and is a member of the Life, Health and Disability and Insurance Fraud Practice Groups. He has substantial trial experience and focuses his State and Federal Court trial practice on first and third party insurance claims. In addition to defending insurance companies and their insureds, Mr. Pindulic also routinely takes the offense in commencing declaratory judgment actions with respect to coverage issues and pursuing rescission claims for misstatements and fraud.
Mr. Pindulic concentrates his practice in the areas of Life, Health and Disability insurance, ERISA litigation, insurance coverage disputes, insurance fraud, as well as claims involving allegations of bad faith conduct and claims for extra contractual damages. Mr. Pindulic has numerous published decisions in the area of bad faith and extra contractual damages in both New York and New Jersey. These published decisions have been instrumental in setting and maintaining a favorable standard for insurers with respect to bad faith litigation in both New York and New Jersey. In addition to his experience in first-party insurance litigation, Mr. Pindulic also has extensive experience in the defense of third-party claims on behalf of insurers including, but not limited to, claims of defective products, premises liability, medical malpractice, construction defect litigation and fire loss claims.
Mr. Pindulic is a member of the Defense Research Institute (Life, Health and Disability Committee and Insurance Law Committee). He is also a member of the Federal Bar Council and his cases have frequently been commented on in various publications including Mealey's Disability Insurance Report and the Life, Health and Disability News published by the Defense Research Institute.
Mr. Pindulic received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Scranton in 1986. He received his J.D. in 1989 from Rutgers University School of Law. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and is admitted to the United States District Court, District of New Jersey; United States District Court, Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York; and the United States Court of Appeals, Second and Third Circuits.
