Dorothy practices primarily in the tax-exempt municipal finance area. Her experience includes work as borrower's counsel, bond counsel, and underwriter's counsel for tax-exempt financings located throughout the United States. Prior to her legal career, Dorothy worked as a health care consultant.

Dorothy is a member of The Chicago Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
