Lawrence D. Forster is a Founding Partner of Forster & Arbore and has been practicing law in Morris County for over 35 years. Mr. Forster focuses his practice primarily on family law matters in areas such as divorce, custody, mediation and domestic violence as well as adoption proceedings. Based upon his years of experience and his personal attention to each of his clients, Mr. Forster is able to provide invaluable legal consultation while at the same time offering a sense of comfort to his clients through stressful and difficult legal situations.
In addition to providing legal representation to his clients during challenging personal situations, Mr. Forster also handles various business matters for clients. In all of his practice areas, he is a seasoned negotiator, which serves his clients’ best interests during critical elements of the litigation process. In many instances these skills enable him to achieve a swift and cost effective resolution to a challenging legal matter on behalf of his clients. Whether handling personal family law matters, or engaging in business related representation on behalf of his clients, Mr. Forster has a diverse geographical practice that enables him to handle these matters throughout Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties.
Mr. Forster's professional affiliations include membership in the New Jersey State Bar, Morris County Bar and American Bar Associations, as well as a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is a longstanding Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Section and a Master of the Inns of Court. Additionally, he is a Certified Morris County Superior Court Mediator and previously served as Chair of the Family Law Section of the Morris County Bar Association and also served as Trustee of the Morris County Bar Association. Mr. Forster has been certified as a Mediator when he graduated from the first Seton Hall Law School Mediation program in 1990.
