Frank V. Floriani is esteemed for his vast legal knowledge and intellect, which has made him an invaluable member of our legal team. As head of one of the Firm's Product Liability and Complex Litigation departments, Mr. Floriani has handled such varied matters as those involving defectively designed products, professional liability, maritime-related claims, construction site accidents, aviation disasters, railway worker claims and toxic torts, obtaining numerous substantial recoveries for his clients including a $5.5 million recovery for the family of a man who was crushed while removing granite slabs from a freight container. He recently recovered $22.65 million for two families who sustained severe burns when their apartment complex caught on fire, causing two family members to die. He has also been involved in litigation brought on behalf of firefighters injured in the 9/11 Rescue and Recovery operations. Among the landmark cases he has successfully prosecuted is Friedman v. State, in which New York's highest court greatly expanded our citizens' rights against municipalities in the area of roadway design. Frank has been named in Super Lawyers magazine as one of the top lawyers in New York, and was listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He has received the highest rating (AV®) from Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings.* A 1977 Hofstra University Law School graduate, he is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey and is active in several bar associations and is a contributing member to their continuing legal education programs. Frank joined the Firm in 1979 and has been a Member since 1986.
