Karen Evey Pfeffer, a native of Hollidaysburg, PA, graduated cum laude from Pennsylvania State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She received a juris doctor degree from Dickinson School of Law in 1984. After graduation, she was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She worked at the firm as an associate, and thereafter, as a partner, focusing on real estate, corporations, municipal law, and litigation. After fourteen years, she took a hiatus from practicing law in order to raise her young children and to assist in the management of family businesses. During that time, she was elected to the Board of Directors of the Hollidaysburg Area School District. She served for over two terms, from July of 1999 until December of 2007 as both President and Vice President of the Board. She is active in her church where she has served on various committees and as an elder. Attorney Pfeffer is a member of the Board of Directors of Altoona Regional Health System where she chairs the Quality Leadership Committee. Since returning to the firm of counsel, she has focused her practice on real estate, corporations, municipal law, and litigation.
