David Pettit has practiced with the firm since 1978 in a broad range of business-related areas. While he concentrates primarily in the areas of business transactions and resolution of business disputes, he advises businesses and business owners on a variety of matters, including negotiating and drafting contracts, commercial financing transactions, securities issuance and litigation, shareholder conflict, employment law matters and commercial real estate transactions. He has substantial experience advising trade associations and certification organizations. Mr. Pettit has represented purchasers and sellers of businesses in Virginia and in numerous other states, plaintiffs and defendants in securities litigation, and business principals in the negotiated and litigated restructuring or severance of business relationships.
