Diane Flannery has tried complex products liability cases in federal and state courts, including high-profile cases that The National Law Journal has identified as some of the most significant cases tried. She also has been involved in a variety of class action litigation for diverse clients, including credit reporting agencies, tobacco companies, and food manufacturers. In addition, she has extensive experience coordinating and managing large-scale defense efforts where there are hundreds of cases pending in different jurisdictions.
Currently, Diane is a member of the Jones Day team that serves as national coordinating counsel and trial counsel on behalf of The Sherwin-Williams Company and the Yamaha Motor Corporation. Diane also has significant experience advising clients on punitive damages and product recalls, both domestically and internationally.
Diane is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. She is also a member of the State Bar of Georgia's Product Liability Section and the Defense Research Institute's Product Liability Division. She is admitted in the state and appellate courts of Georgia, the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia and the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Diane is active in the Atlanta community and has served on a variety of boards, including the Board of Trustees for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Georgia Chapter and the Board of Trustees for the Junior League of Atlanta. In addition, Diane was selected for and completed the Georgia 100 Leadership Program and the Leadership Atlanta Program.
