Scott Peters has practiced law for 35 years and specializes in trials, primarily for plaintiff injury and business cases. He is accredited as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and one of only 5 attorneys Certified in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area. He has had numerous professional affiliations including being the Vice Chair for the Council of State Presidents in 1992 and 1993, The Iowa Trial Lawyer's Association where he served as President from 1991 to 1992, and the American Board of Trial Advocates where he served as President in 2002. He is a Fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers, a Founding Sponsor of the Civil Justice Foundation, a Member of the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, and a Sponsor of People for Safe Work. Scott has been very active in his community through numerous organizations including Faith Alive!, where he served on the National Board of Directors from 1997 to 2001; the Opera Omaha, where he was on the Board of Directors from 1994 through 2000; the Omaha Club, where he sat on the Board of Directors from 1990-1996 and was president from 1994-1995. Today he serves on the Pottawattomie County Conservation Committee Advisory board and is a Chair on the Drake University Law School Endowment Trust.
