Fitzpatrick, Joseph A.

Robert J. Fitzgerald devotes all of his practice to workers' compensation defense litigation. Bob joined Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin's Philadelphia office in April 2001.  In August 2004, he moved to the firm's Cherry Hill office and since then, he has been that office's Workers' Compensation Department Supervisor. Bob has handled more than 1,200 workers' compensation cases in the past decade. He has represented more than 600 different employers, private and public, in just about every area of industry.

For a third year, Bob has been selected for inclusion on the New Jersey Rising Stars list, which appears in New Jersey Super Lawyers magazine and features outstanding young lawyers in the state of New Jersey. He has also published multiple articles dealing with workers' compensation issues for both the New Jersey Law Journal and New Jersey Self-Insurers Association. Bob is a guest lecturer at Community College of Philadelphia and regularly provides seminars on workers' compensation issues to clients all across the country.

Bob is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. District Courts for New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Bob earned his Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law in May 2000, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, Honor Chapter. While attending law school in the evening, Bob worked as litigation paralegal for Freedman & Lorry, P.C., concentrating in the areas of workers' compensation litigation, motor vehicle liability, and general liability. Bob was born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, where he attended Father Judge High School. He is a graduate of Temple University and the Community College of Philadelphia. Bob resides in Gloucester County, New Jersey, with his wife and two children.
