For nearly 30 years, clients have entrusted Jim Fisher with their must-win cases in a variety of areas.
Mr. Fisher has been selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers® for the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2011 and 2012; a distinction for which only five percent of Texas attorneys are selected annually. He is an AV-rated lawyer and is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Texas, as well as in numerous federal courts. He graduated with honors from Colorado State University in 1978, where he studied nuclear engineering. He then went on to receive his law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1981. Mr. Fisher is a member of the Business Litigation and Probate Trusts & Estates sections of the Dallas Bar Association, and the Appellate, Labor & Employment Law, and Litigation sections of the State Bar of Texas.
In 1998, Mr. Fisher was selected to take the deposition of President Bill Clinton, thus becoming the only lawyer ever to depose a sitting president in a civil action against him. Mr. Fisher’s examination of the President led to President Clinton’s impeachment, a $90,000 fine, and disbarment of Mr. Clinton by both the Arkansas Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
