Robert H. Costello, Jr. has been engaged in the practice of law for more that forty years, concentrating his practice in real estate, banking, probate, business and family law. Mr. Costello is a 1965 graduate of Northeastern University and a 1968 graduate of Boston University Law School. He has received Martindale Hubbell's highest peer review rating of AV. He is an approved agent for three national title insurance companies. Mr. Costello is a member of the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association, the United States Judge Advocate Association and the Massachusetts Association of Bank Counsel.
Mr. Costello represents institutional lenders in a wide array of both commercial and residential loan transactions, as well as foreclosures and workouts. He is General Counsel for Middlesex Federal Savings, F.A.. In addition, Mr. Costello represents a wide variety of businesses in connection with initial start-up, mergers, acquisitions and financing.
Augmenting his career in private practice, Mr. Costello served in the United States Army and Massachusetts Army National Guard for thirty-four years. During his military career Mr. Costello held various assignments including The Massachusetts National Guard Staff Judge Advocate, The State Judge Advocate and Massachusetts Assistant Adjutant General, retiring with the rank of colonel in 2004. He continues to serve on the boards of many community organizations.
