Sylvina Cotto is a sole practitioner in Scottsdale and as been practicing law since May of 1993. Ms. Cotto received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University. Ms. Cotto started her legal career as a Maricopa County Public Defender. As a criminal defense attorney Ms. Cotto handled hundreds of cases ranging from misdemeanors to homicide. She began practicing family law in 1999 and established her own practice in 2002. Ms. Cotto is presently the co-chair of the State Bar Communications Advisory Committee and is also a member of the State Bar's family law section and the Maricopa County Bar family law section. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Ms. Cotto speaks fluent Spanish. She enjoys cooking, hiking and traveling.
