Matt Firestone graduated from the University of Florida (with high honors) in 1980 with a B.S. in Accounting, and received his law degree from Duke University (with honors) in 1983. While in law school, he successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant examination.
He has practiced commercial litigation, in both state and federal court, since 1983. In addition, he has been certified as a mediator by the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Board, and as a circuit court mediator by the Florida Supreme Court.
He has lectured at seminars for the National Business Institute, the Community Associations Institute and the Orange County Homeowners Association Alliance. Matt's current areas of practice include real estate disputes, contract disputes, business disputes, and construction disputes. He also represents a number of homeowner's and condominium associations.
Matt is married to Jill and has a son, Adam, and a daughter, Morgan. He enjoys playing golf poorly.
