Fischer, Joseph R.

Phillip Perez joined Ventura, Ribeiro & Smith in 2012 where he currently concentrates in Workers' Compensation Law. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut, and his Law Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is admitted to the Connecticut Bar.

Just prior to joining the firm, Attorney Perez served as a Law Clerk for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, and participated in a judicial externship with the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He also worked as a Summer Associate with a prominent boutique insurance litigation firm in Connecticut where he fought to secure insurance coverage for policyholders who were wrongfully denied coverage by their respective insurers. Prior to attending law school, Attorney Perez worked as a claims adjuster with Travelers Insurance assessing coverage in various complex environmental claims. Attorney Perez's experiences have afforded him a perspective which allows him to understand the key arguments to be made in favor of claimants and anticipate counter-arguments made by insurers.
