Kris Perret joined The Law Offices of Ossie Brown in September of 2005. His practice focuses on personal injury, trial litigation and criminal defense. He primarily handles car accidents, slip and fall injuries and DWI's and drug offenses. Mr. Perret has helped hundreds of people injured through no fault of their own protect their legal rights and recover millions of dollars in damages. Mr. Perret has also defended hundreds of people in criminal matters in both city and state courts.
Mr. Perret is well known in the courtrooms of East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Iberville, Ascension, Livingston and Tangipahoa Parishes. However, he not only represents people in the Greater Baton Rouge area. He has represented people in cases in locations such as Las Vegas, Nevada; Miami, Florida; Denver, Colorado; Houston, Texas; and Montreal, Canada.
Mr. Perret is an active member of the American, Louisiana and Baton Rouge Bar Associations. He has served on several leadership committees and has lectured in the areas of DWI defense and trial litigation. In 2005, Mr. Perret served as the Chairman of the Baton Rouge Bar Association Bench Bar Conference.
Mr. Perret has called Baton Rouge home since 1993, when he returned from Washington, D.C., to attend LSU and play football for the Tigers. As a member of the 1996 team that "Brought the Magic Back" to Tigertown, Mr. Perret was a special teams captain, a two-time letterman, earned All-SEC Academic Honors and received the LSU Scholar Athlete Award his senior year. Mr. Perret received his undergraduate degree in Communications and Public Relations from LSU in Baton Rouge in 1997.
After finishing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Perret attended the Louisiana State University Law Center, graduating and gaining admission to the practice of law in 2000. Today, Mr. Perret volunteers as a youth coach with the YMCA and donates his time to the Capital Area United Way. Mr. Perret has been married since 1999. He has two sons, Ryan and Sean.
