Mr. Pennebaker graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point , N.Y. in 1987. He grew up in rural Mississippi as the son of a cotton farmer. After serving as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army, he settled in San Antonio, where he attended St. Mary's Law School. He has worked as an attorney in the field of insurance since 1993. He was previously a partner/shareholder in the insurance defense firms of Adami, Goldman & Shufflield and then Goldman, Pennebaker, and Phipps, where he gained valuable insight into the manner in which insurance companies handle claims. He has handled literally thousands of Bad Faith Insurance lawsuits during the past 20 years, and has gained valuable insight which is necessary to defeat insurance companies' strategies for denying and/or underpaying valid insurance claims by homeowners and small business owners. He has received an AV Peer Reer Review rating from Martindale-Hubbell which is based on confidential opinions of other attorneys and members of the Judiciary. An AV rating is the highest rating possible in terms of assessing legal ability and ethical standards.
