Ms. Pazos believes that one's best work begins with diligence and attention to detail. Although the majority of her practice involves defending manufacturers and retailers in asbestos-related products liability actions, Ms. Pazos is also active in Employer/Carrier defense for claims filed under the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, the Defense Base Act and the Florida Workers' Compensation Statute.
Before attending law school, Ms. Pazos spent two years as a legislative intern with a member of the Florida House of Representatives, and was volunteer staff at Miami-Dade County's Family Law Self-Help Clinic. As a law school research assistant, her efforts on the subjects of international armed conflicts, human rights violations, and elections irregularities in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean helped to further broaden her diverse approach to legal education. Already fully conversant in Spanish, Ms. Pazos is working toward fluency in Italian as well.
Ms. Pazos received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from Florida International University in 2006. She is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. Memberships include the DRI and the American Bar Association.
