Born and raised in Fairbanks, Bill has a deep sense of pride and awareness of the Alaska mentality and way of life. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Bill's interests embrace all that Alaska has to offer.
A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, Bill served as a student writer and then as a note and comment editor for two of the school's law journals. Before law school, Bill studied International Business at the University of Southern Denmark at Sønderborg, and received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Idaho.
Bill has served as the Co-Chairman of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Alaska Bar Association and the board of the Anchorage Estate Planning Counsel; Co-Author of How to Draft Wills and Trusts in Alaska, and has presented on Alaska Community Property Trusts: The Other Alaska Trust, at the WealthCounsel National Conference. Before joining Foley & Foley, Bill clerked for the Honorable Michael A. Thompson in Ketchikan, Alaska.
Bill is also a member of WealthCounsel, a national organization of estate planning professionals, the Alaska and Anchorage Bar Associations and the Nordic Ski Club of Anchorage.
