Mr. Ferguson is a life-long resident of Concord, North Carolina and practices in the areas of family law, bankruptcy, and civil litigation. He graduated from Concord High School in 1964 and thereafter attended Wake Forest University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting. After graduating, Mr. Ferguson served three years active duty as an infantry officer, and upon release from active duty attended Wake Forest Law School where he obtained his J.D. degree in 1974. He is a retired Colonel, Infantry, from the United States Army Reserve after serving 26 years.
Mr. Ferguson is active in the Concord community and has served on various boards to include Cabarrus County Group Homes, Inc., Old Courthouse Theater, and Piedmont Area Mental Health. He was a charter member of the Concord Historic Preservation Commission (formerly the Historic District Commission) and co-authored the original guidelines for the North and South Union Historic Districts. He is married and has three children and one granddaughter. He has been active at Calvary Lutheran Church where over the years he has served as an adult Sunday school teacher, personnel committee, faith chest committee, and has assisted in morning worship services as lector and usher. His hobbies include period furniture reproduction, and digital photography. He likes to spend his leisure time with family and friends as well as in his woodworking shop and travelling with his wife.
