Ferguson, Carter L.

Guthrie Paterson practices corporate law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Guthrie has worked on a wide range of public, private, international, distressed, and technology-related matters. In addition, he has represented various private equity clients in their investments, including The Hampstead Group, J.F. Lehman & Co., Saunders Karp Megrue & Co., Seneca Investments, Wasserstein & Co., and WL Ross & Co. Corporate clients Guthrie has represented include Alliant Techsystems, Cardinal Health, El Paso Corporation, International Steel Group, Nextel Communications, Omnicom Group, PepsiCo, Reynolds American, R.H. Donnelley, and UPM-Kymmene.

Guthrie is a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law Section) and the New York State Bar Association. He also conducts seminars within the Firm for new Associates on topics including due diligence, choice of corporate entities, and M&A transactions.
