Feldman, Barbi Lynn

Rodney M. Confer is a native of McCook, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1968, and received his J.D. degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1971. He was a member of the NEBRASKA LAW REVIEW and was elected Editor-in-Chief his senior year. Upon graduation he was chosen as a member of the Order of the Coif.

After law school Rod Confer served four years as a Lieutenant in the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps. Upon conclusion of his military service he worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Donald R. Ross of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in 1975 and 1976.

Since 1978 Rod Confer has been a partner in Knudsen, Berkheimer, Richardson & Endacott, LLP. He has served on the firm's Management Committee and as Managing Partner.

Rod Confer's practice is primarily in civil litigation. During his 37 years of law practice he has tried approximately one hundred jury and bench trials, including cases involving personal injury and property damage, partnership and corporations, insurance, products liability, contract, commercial and banking disputes, securities and trade secret litigation, and a wide variety of other matters.

He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and other federal courts. He is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association and the Lincoln Bar Association.

Rod Confer was selected as a Super Lawyer of the Great Plains in 2007, and was chosen as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America in 2008. He has been involved in several landmark water cases during his career and in 1990 he was honored by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Nebraska Chapter of the American Fisheries Society for his work in obtaining the first instream appropriation in the State of Nebraska on Long Pine Creek.
