Ms. Passantino graduated cum laude in 2008 from Binghamton University (State University of New York) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law. During her undergraduate studies, Andrea was a member of the National Champion Policy Debate team and the women's club lacrosse team. After graduation, Andrea furthered her studies at Binghamton and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Social, Political, Ethical and Legal Philosophy in May 2009.
Andrea first joined our firm as a Law Clerk in December of 2010 and accepted a position as an Associate Attorney with the office in October, 2012 after receiving her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and passing the Pennsylvania Bar Examination. Prior to her employment with Lisa Marie Vari & Associates, Andrea was employed as a Law Clerk with the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh where she focused her efforts on matters involving domestic violence, spousal abuse, and Protection From Abuse (PFA) cases as well as other Pennsylvania family law issues. During her tenure as a law student, Andrea was a Certified Legal Intern for the Pitt Law Family Law Clinic where she assisted Pro Se litigants with various family law matters including custody, support, and Protection From Abuse.
Andrea's duties at the firm involve assisting the other family law attorneys in all aspect of case preparation. Her tasks include performing legal research and writing on Pennsylvania family law issues, drafting requests for discovery of marital assets and debts as well as answers to discovery requests, and writing initial drafts of family law pleadings.
Andrea is engaged to be married to her fiancé, Peter, a Pitt Law student expected to graduate in May 2013.
