Leonard I. Pataki received his undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1975. He received his law degree with honors in 1977 from Oklahoma City University, where he was a member of the Oklahoma City University Law Review, serving as both Research Editor and Managing Editor. Prior to joining the Firm in 1982, Mr. Pataki served as a law clerk to three United States District Judges in the Northern District of Oklahoma. Mr. Pataki has published many articles concerning labor law and creditor's rights, and is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy, creditor's rights, and collections, as well as labor law and occupational safety and health compliance. Mr. Pataki is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of bankruptcy law and creditor's rights.
Mr. Pataki's practice is concentrated in the areas of bankruptcy, labor relations (management) occupational safety and health compliance and litigation, debtor-creditor rights and commercial litigation. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America, American Bankruptcy Institute, and the American Bar Association Occupational Safety and Health Law Committee. He has been an active member of Tulsa County Bar Association, which he currently serves as President. He is an Adjunct Settlement Judge for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and an Associate Judge of the Municipal Criminal Court of the City of Tulsa.
Mr. Pataki is currently Of Counsel to the Firm, having accepted the position of General Counsel of Sheehan Pipe Line Construction Company, one of the largest cross country pipeline construction companies in the United Sates, in June of 2008.
