I am a family law attorney and mediator who focuses on pursuing the best resolution for our clients and families in need. I have been in practice for more than ten (10) years representing parents, individuals and children in many aspects of family law. I have been a Guardian Ad Litem for children for almost my entire ten (10) years of practice and believe that it gives me a unique perspective on helping families resolve issues when children are involved. I represent juveniles and individuals involved with child services (CHINS) cases.
As a registered family law mediator, I have focused on helping families resolve issues surrounding parenting time, custody and child support. I advocate for pre-litigation mediation in order to help individuals make their own decisions about what is best for themselves rather than having a third party make the decision for them. In many instances, mediation provides an effective and inexpensive resolution to issues, rather than going through the process of litigation. It is not necessary to have an attorney representing you to participate in this alternative to formal court proceedings and scheduling can normally be achieved within a week or two. Most court cases take several months before they get to a hearing.
