Ms. Papez is a fourth-generation Montanan, growing up on her family’s Carbon County ranch outside of Belfry. Ms. Papez joined the firm as an associate in 2010 after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law. She is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in Montana and Idaho, and represents clients in a variety of matters involving environmental, natural resource, business, Native American, and insurance coverage issues. While in law school, Ms. Papez authored an academic paper, Native (Hydro) Power: Alternate Avenues for Achieving Native Control of Natural Resources on Tribal Lands, with Focus on Hydropower Dams, 46 Idaho L. Rev. 671 (2010), which won awards in Native American law and natural resource/environmental law. Ms. Papez is also the co-author of Over 100 Years without True “Home Rule” in Idaho: Time for Change, 46 Idaho L. Rev. 587 (2010).
