Scott V. Papp is an associate. His practice focuses on litigation involving securities fraud, shareholder rights and corporate governance matters. Mr. Papp also represents clients in arbitration proceedings before the New York Stock Exchange and the National Association of Securities Dealers.
Prior to joining Lowey Dannenberg, Mr. Papp clerked for Honorable Arthur A. Hiller and the Honorable William B. Lewis in the Superior Court of Connecticut, Stamford Judicial District. In addition, Mr. Papp interned at the United States Attorneys' Office for the Southern District of New York and the Securities and Exchange Commission's Northeast Regional Office.
Mr. Papp received a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany in 1992 and his J.D. from Pace Law School in 2003, where he graduated with honors. Mr. Papp was awarded Pace's Clinical Service Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding service to Pace's Securities Arbitration Clinic, where he represented investors before the National Association of Securities Dealers. Mr. Papp is fluent in Russian.
Mr. Papp is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut; and is a member of the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Papp is also a member of the New York State and New York County Bar Associations.
