Matt graduated, with honors, from the University of Guelph in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and later earned a Juries Doctorate degree from Whittier Law School in 2008. During law school, Matt was a Student Bar Association representative for the first two years and the vice president of the association during his last. During his second year, he received the President’s Scholarship for academic excellence. He was an active member of Whittier Law Review and received a CALI Excellence for the Future award for receiving the highest grade in his Legal Writing II class.
