Tamara B. Packard is a Partner in the firm. Ms. Packard has been practicing law since 1994, primarily in the areas of litigation and appeals, emphasizing employee rights, labor and civil rights law. She has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 2011, and in Wisconsin Super Lawyers since 2010.  In 2010 she was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as an outstanding Woman in the Law. Ms. Packard frequently represents clients in employment, professional licensing, and civil rights disputes including gender, disability and sexual orientation discrimination claims, claims under the wage and hours laws, and claims under the State and Federal Family Medical Leave Acts. She also represents professionals who are seeking licensure and professionals who have been accused of misconduct. Her litigation and appeals practice also encompasses commercial disputes and serving as local counsel in complex federal litigation. She is part of the CWPB legal team that won an injunction against Wisconsin’s Voter ID law in 2012 and successfully defended Wisconsin’s Domestic Partnership Registry in 2011.

Ms. Packard is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation-only honorary society of trial lawyers. Fewer than 60 Wisconsin attorneys and less than 1/2 of 1% of attorneys in the US are members. Selection for membership in LCA is "based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation."

She is admitted to practice in the state courts of Wisconsin and Michigan, the Federal District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Eastern District of Michigan and before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She also regularly appears on behalf of clients at the Wisconsin Equal Rights Division, the Federal Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, and other administrative agencies.

She is also active in the Legal Association for Women, the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Wisconsin Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Packard is a founding board member of the Fair Wisconsin Education Fund and a past-President of that Board (2006-2007).
