Andrew Cohen is a staff attorney in the Litigation/Controversy Department. He joined the firm in 2008.
Practice
Mr. Cohen focuses his practice on issues of e-discovery. Specifically, he works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers, and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production. They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools; review documents; train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents; and partner with project managers to perform production quality control.
Mr. Cohen has direct experience with document review and analysis. Prior to joining the firm, he was a contract attorney, where he contributed to matters involving securities fraud class action litigation; employment, wage and benefits litigation; false advertising litigation and counseling; and a New York State Attorney General inquiry.
As an associate at a firm in New York from 2001 to 2004, Mr. Cohen represented clients in complex commercial and contract litigation matters. Areas of practice included securities, reinsurance, international law, First Amendment (defamation), RICO, federal civil rights laws and negligence issues including negligent hiring, interference with contract and business relations.
