Upon graduation from law school in 1982, Ms. Clark was a staff attorney with the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago. In December, 1984, she began practicing as a Trial Attorney with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission where she was responsible for litigating complex employment discrimination cases. Ms. Clark served in that capacity until January, 1988, when she joined the firm of Laner, Muchin, Dombrow, Becker, Levin and Tominberg, Ltd. In January, 1994, Ms. Clark became a partner of the firm.
Ms. Clark serves as a Hearing Officer for the City of Chicago Commission on Human Relations and the Cook County Human Rights Commission. In addition, she has lectured extensively in the areas of affirmative action and employment discrimination.
Ms. Clark has been named one of the Leading Lawyers in Illinois, based on a statewide survey of lawyers. Leading Lawyers comprise less than 5% of all lawyers in the state. She has also been named an Illinois Super Lawyer.
Since joining the Firm, Ms. Clark has represented management in employment law and labor relations matters before the EEOC, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, state and federal courts, wage and hour matters before the Illinois and United States Departments of Labor, affirmative action matters with the OFCCP, as well as collective bargaining negotiations, contract drafting and interpretation, grievance handling, and unfair labor practice matters before the NLRB and problem-solving in most, if not all, facets of the employer/employee relationship.
