Daniel Esrick is a counsel in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group and the Business Trial Group. He joined the firm in 2000.
Practice
Mr. Esrick's practice encompasses a wide variety of litigation matters, including patent disputes involving diverse technologies, securities class actions, employment litigation, internal company investigations and general business disputes. He also has represented clients on a pro bono basis in cases involving political asylum and police misconduct.
In 2004, Mr. Esrick worked as national advance staff for the Kerry/Edwards presidential campaign. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Esrick was a legislative aide on the Judiciary Committee staff of the late US senator Paul Simon (D-Illinois). In that role, Mr. Esrick advised the senator on a number of constitutional and criminal justice issues.
For six months in 2007, Mr. Esrick served as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. As an ADA, Mr. Esrick handled arraignments and bail arguments; argued dispositive motions; and tried numerous cases to verdict.
