Roseann Oliver has practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, environmental and toxic tort litigation, and business transactions for over 30 years. She practices in state and federal courts, and has tried and arbitrated to verdict or judgment over thirty cases, in addition to presenting and defending against motions for temporary restraining orders and injunctive relief.
Roseann's litigation practice encompasses patent and trade secret claims; professional liability of architects, engineers, attorneys, financial consultants and banks; breach of contract and fraud claims; shareholder and breach of fiduciary duty claims; enforceability of covenants not to compete; corporate and partnership dissolutions; and insolvency and bankruptcy matters, including creditors' rights and related litigation. In addition, she has extensive experience in employment litigation, including severance pay issues, and in age, sex and race discrimination claims.
In the area of environmental and toxic tort litigation, Roseann has defended clients against individual and class action claims of increased health risks, property damage, and groundwater and drinking water contamination, Superfund liability and allocation of clean-up costs.
She also currently represents professional corporations and limited liability companies in all aspects of their business, including drafting service agreements with emphasis on protecting confidential information and trade secrets, exclusive sales agreements and commercial leases.
She also represents buyers and sellers in the sales of their businesses and commercial real estate, including due diligence and environmental audits, creditors in bankruptcy matters and corporations involved in loan work-outs and lease terminations.
