Kenneth Elmer grew up in a small town in New Jersey. After graduating from Christian Brothers Academy, he attended St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. While attending St. Joe's, Ken interned in Washington, D.C., for a congressman and saw firsthand how the laws that directly impact people's finances are created. Also at this time, Ken worked full time for a collection firm. There Ken learned the tactics in which creditors pursue clients. It was at this time when he resolved to pursue a career helping people in financial distress.
Following college, Ken acted on his long-held desire to move to the South by attending Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham. While in school, Ken served as Treasurer of The Federalist Society and was on the Dean's List. After graduating, Ken was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2008. From there, he clerked for the highly respected bankruptcy attorney Linda Burns in Jasper. Following the clerkship, Ken worked for Bond, Botes, Reese & Shinn, one of the most preeminent bankruptcy firms in the Southeast. Ken strives to provide highest quality legal services to the people of Tuscaloosa and West Alabama.
When not working, Ken enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, as well as watching the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Philadelphia Phillies play. Ken also enjoys reading, fishing, and is involved in his church.
